“Move Away From Government Control: Embrace Individual Freedom!”

- 2 minutes read - 308 wordsAs we move further and further into the digital age, we are increasingly seeing how the government has embedded itself into our lives. Now more than ever, we need to take a step back, look at our past and make sure we don’t become too dependent on the government’s control.
Since the dawn of humanity, people have always valued their personal freedom above all else. It was no different during the Classical Period, where the Greek philosopher Aristotle wrote what is arguably the most famous work of political theory – his Politics. In it, he espouses the value of individual freedom and stresses that it should be the central focus of any government.
Fast forward to the 18th century, which marked a time period known as the Age of Enlightenment. During this era, philosophers like John Locke, Jean-Jacques Rousseau, Baron de Montesquieu, and Immanuel Kant wrote volumes advocating for the notion of self-governance and individual freedom. These philosophers believed that the government should not have absolute control over people’s lives, and that individuals should have the right to determine their own destiny.
As we look at the present day, we can see the effects of all these past thinkers – individuals now have the right to vote, to establish their own businesses, to practice their own religions, and to express themselves freely. And while the government still has influence over certain aspects of our lives, it is still important that we retain our autonomy. We must be active in our choice to reject government control and embrace individual freedom!
We cannot forget our history - it is only through individual sovereignty that we can ensure our safety, our freedom, and our rights and liberties. We must continue to stand up for our autonomy and reject any suggestion of government control! Let’s be the representatives of our own destiny!
